Welcome to ShangMeals. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ShangMeals mobile application and website (the "Service") operated by SHANGMEALS LLC ("ShangMeals," "we," or "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. The Service

ShangMeals is a marketplace that connects consumers with restaurants for ordering and delivery. You can browse restaurant menus, place orders, and arrange delivery through the app.

3. Orders & Payment

When you place an order, you authorize us to charge the payment method you select for the full order amount, including taxes, delivery fees, and any applicable tips. Prices are set by restaurants and displayed at checkout before you confirm. We may use third-party payment processors to handle transactions; we do not store your full card number.

4. ShangMeals Is a Marketplace

Important: ShangMeals acts as an intermediary between you and the restaurant. The food and beverages you order are prepared and sold by the restaurant, not by ShangMeals. The restaurant is solely responsible for the quality, safety, and accuracy of the food. Any issues with the food itself should be raised with the restaurant, though we will help you contact them.

ShangMeals is not a party to the sale of food between you and the restaurant and has no liability for the food products themselves.

5. Merchant Responsibilities

Merchants using the Service to sell food are responsible for the accuracy of their menu, pricing, food safety, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Merchants grant ShangMeals a license to display their menu and branding for the purpose of fulfilling orders.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

If you have an issue with an order, contact us at info@shangmeals.com as soon as possible. Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances (for example, orders that were not delivered or were materially incorrect). Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service — for example, by providing false information, placing fraudulent orders, harassing restaurants or couriers, or attempting to disrupt the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any order will be completed. Food quality and delivery times depend on the restaurant and courier.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShangMeals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or for any amount exceeding the total you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the ShangMeals name, logo, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Restaurant names, logos, and menu content are the property of their respective owners.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Washington County for any dispute arising from these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
